July

Holy cow! July has flown by!
Jameson and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on the 14th and he took me with him to Phoenix where it was a cool 115 degrees! We swam, shopped, ate good food and even got massages. It was a much needed mini vacation! Thanks Mom for watching our kids! We only took 1 picture the whole trip-I guess we're not used to taking pictures of ourselves! As soon as we got home from AZ we packed up our trailer and went camping in the Uintahs. I wanted to try out a place that my family used to go to when I was little called Lyman Lake. The kids had so much fun fishing and getting dirty. Gabe pretty much had fun just eating dirt the whole time!
We have also spent some time at Lagoon...
And some time water skiing... And a LOT of time swimming...

Lagoon

I have been a really bad blogger lately. Summer is definitely here and is wearing me out! The kids are playing non stop with neighbor friends, cousins, and each other. We decided to buy Lagoon season passes again and we figured that it had to be easier this year than it was last year with Gabe being so small. So far, we've been 3 times and the kids LOVE it. Jaxon surprises me with how brave he is. He wants to go on all of the "big kid" rides. He loves the Tidal Wave and he and Jameson went to go get in line and Brooklyn started to cry and throw a fit cause she wanted to go. I had her watch them and she cried the whole time and said she wanted to go on it. So...I let her. She was pretty scared while on the ride as you can see in the picture but when she got off I'm pretty sure she would've gone again.
Gabe had a similar experience on the baby boats! He was having fun until the lady came to get them out. I love this picture of Jaxon and Brooklyn because it describes the way they work so well: Jaxon is in charge and Brooklyn will do anything that big brother does. It's pretty cute (most of the time). Jaxon really does watch out for her though and we noticed them holding hands while standing in line. They always start out Lagoon with the bumper cars and Jaxon helps Brooklyn get in her car and get her seat belt on. So cute! This picture isn't from Lagoon but I have to say something about my bawl baby Gabriel! He cracks me up with his concerned furrowed brow look. He is in the middle of saying, "Mama" in this picture and even though he's exhausting because I can't leave his sight, I'm sure that one day I will miss it.

Brooklyn Strikes Again...

Well, it's late but I'm on a roll with everything that has been going on lately. Today, when I went upstairs to get Brooklyn up from her "nap" this is what I found. I didn't even say anything to her, and when I walked in the room and saw it she just started crying. I still don't know where she got the dry erase marker from. It took Jameson a long time to get it off because it wouldn't come off with just normal cleaner so he had to go buy the Expo dry erase spray. Every time we would try to wipe it off it was taking off a layer of the paint with it but we finally got if off. These pictures don't give her marker job justice-she had it EVERYWHERE. Jaxon took care of the books, toys, and stool that she also wrote on. When I gave her a bath she even had it all over her stomach and she had especially concentrated on her belly button...that part was kind of cute!

NO DOUBT!!!!

For Mother's Day this year Jameson got me tickets to see No Doubt which is one of my favorite bands EVER!! We got home from Bear Lake, unpacked and got ready to go again. We didn't anticipate the traffic but we made it in time to hear PARAMORE open for them. They were really good but not as good (to me) as when NO DOUBT came out. Jameson, Gina (through texting) and I were guessing what their opening song would be and Jameson WON.....Spiderwebs. I was really amazed at what a great concert it was and at how great they sounded. It was SO FUN!!

My favorite song of theirs going into the concert: I'm Just a Girl

My newfound favorite: Bathwater

In the middle of the concert Gwen Stefani brought her son on stage and we sang him "Happy Birthday" it was really cute but she kind of teared up and it was a little sad. Here is a link to watch a short clip of it if you want! It was a great concert (thanks Jameson!) and I highly recommend seeing them if they come to your city!!! ;)

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we had our Frew Family Vacation at Bear Lake. We stayed in a really nice cabin and everyone had fun! The kids had fun together making crafts, playing air hockey, and playing Grandma's Bingo games. On Saturday we took the kids for a walk and got some cute pictures of them.

I did take a family picture as well but I think that I might get in trouble for posting it online! ;) Thanks for the fun time everyone!

Subjects, please!!

So a few of you expressed interest after my last post on where I took a photography class and what my desires are with photography. Well, I have been mesmerized with photography for as long as I can remember. I used to buy magazines in junior high and high school and flip to the back section of the the magazine where they had the models' photo shoot. I would rip out my favorite shots and save them in a binder...a binder that I STILL have!! I LOVED processing film in the dark room, I loved looking for "photo opportunities". For the past two and a half years I have been pain-stakingly teaching myself Photoshop and just recently finished a class that affirmed that I know more than most people about it (especially the retired couples in my class that asked what a thumbnail was-COME ON!) And last month I broke down (or should I say Jameson broke down ;) and bought my first digital SLR camera!!!! My kids are pretty sick of me taking pictures of them by now and I am wanting to build up my portfolio. So, I'm looking for some subjects that want a 'no obligation' photo shoot with me!! Any takers??

Oh yeah, I took a class from a photographer that I love. Here is her link:
