Going Private...

Well, I've debated for a while but after having something weird happen to my kids' pictures on my sidebar, I've decided to go private with this blog. I know I don't have a huge following or anything but those of you who would like to be invited to read it please email me at:
jennfrew@yahoo.com or leave a comment on this post with your email address and your name. You'll need a google ID to sign in but it's not a big deal to set one up. I'm just paranoid and would like to know that no weirdos are looking at my kids' pictures.

Our little Dee Dee

Brooklyn's birthday was on Saturday, the 24th and she turned 2!!! I can't believe she's two already..time flies!! I had an idea of what I wanted for her birthday along with the toys that I had held over for her from Christmas (don't January birthday's get gypped?). Jameson is always up for a home improvement project and he always does such a great job so I knew I didn't need to worry. We decided to paint and put bead board up in her room. She has been climbing out of her crib for some time now so I figured that it might be a good idea to get her a "big girl bed" anyway. So, we (well, Jameson) got it all done in time for her birthday. It looks great!!
We had to get a picture of her climbing just to remember it...

I think it turned out really cute and you gotta love all of my old bedroom furniture she's using!

She loved pushing around her dolly in her new shopping cart.She loves Dora but these boots were the only Dora thing she got from us other than....this professional looking cake ;) I tried, I really did. Jameson said it looked like a Simpsons character!! It kinda does but she liked it and knew who it was so, that's all that matters right??
We played pin the tail on the donkey too...

We're so thankful to have little Brooklyn in our family! She has such a cute personality and is so sweet to everyone she meets. She also has a little tough side to her too but I guess that's from living with two brothers. We love our little Brooky!!

Playing trucks with Jaxon while wearing her tutu.

Go Steelers!!

As some of you know, Jameson is a HUGE Steelers fan so last week we watched the playoff game with his brother Pace and his wife Jan who are also Steeler's fans. Needless to say, he's pretty excited about the Superbowl! Jaxon had a fun time watching the game all decked- out in his football garb too.

Christmas and more...

I decided it was time to post the cute pictures that I have from before Christmas and Christmas day. I need to get pictures from the Frew family party but we forgot our camera so those will come later. The Sunday before Christmas we took a few pictures of the kids in their church clothes. We didn't get any of Jaxon but we got some cute ones of Brooklyn and Gabe-and Dad :)

Brooky in her Christmas dress....this is as good as her hair EVER gets because she won't let me do it!! I did have a bow in there too but after church, it was gone.

"TWO BABIES" I have been wanting Jameson to take a picture of us like this since I end up carrying both "babies" a lot of the time. It seems like it's usually up or down the stairs or somewhere that is hard to carry even one but I've got two. They both think it's pretty funny. We always say, "two babies".

....Christmas Eve......
After our annual fondue night we tried to have a little spiritual "true meaning of Christmas" talk. I shouldn't have told Jaxon that they were going to open one gift after because he had a hard time focusing!!

Here they are with their one gift. (Jaxon hasn't figured it out yet that every year it is slippers) I'm pretty sure he was disappointed it wasn't a toy!!
.....Christmas morning.....
Well, Santa surely found our house and he SPOILED us!! Jaxon was SO excited to see what Santa brought for him. Brooklyn finally "got it" this year and loved her gifts from Santa, and Gabe didn't really care and just liked the bows and paper. This year is probably the last year that we'll be able to spoil Jaxon and get little things for the other kids because they will probably start catching on by next year. (Brooklyn will, I'm sure)

We had a GREAT Christmas and are so THANKFUL for all that we have!!

Whiting Christmas Party

We have a lot of pictures to post after Christmas so here is our first Christmas Party at Grandma and Grandpa Whitings. The kids had fun giving and getting their gifts and we all had a fun time seeing everyone for Christmas.
Jaxon got a Jeep and a 4 wheeler.

Brooklyn got a doll and a book and Gabe got a teddy bear/book.
All ready to open their gift from Grandma and Grandpa.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

And here's the impossible picture..all the kids with Grandma wearing their jammies she made them!

A week in Hawaii!!

So when I said that I've been busy, I forgot to mention that I had the chance to spend a week in Hawaii with my mom and sister Gina. I'm pretty sure I have the best husband EVER to let me go AND to watch the kids the whole time. We got a really good deal on a hotel (thanks Krystal!) and Jameson was generous enough to use his Sky Miles to "buy" a plane ticket for me and my mom. We rented a car for cheaper than normal (thanks Pace!) and I would say we were definitely HOOKED UP.
Some things we did were:
* Watched the Pipeline Masters North Shore surfing competition (amazing!)
* Shopped

* Spent time on the beach (I have no idea why it is highlighting that)

* Snorkeled Hanauma Bay

* Went sight-seeing

* Shopped some more

* Got lost a lot even with a GPS ??

* Ate-Lei lei's, Dukes, Rainbows, Mac 24/7, Ted's and many random "hole in the wall" places that were excellent!!

* Had lunch with Tufanga-a former mission companion of my brother Jacen and a player for Hawai'i's Rainbow Warriors Football team. His cousin also came along. (Go #'s 49 and 51!!)

* Chatted with some freakies (hot tub man and 50 year old dudes on bikes!)

* Spent time at the hotel's Internet cafe while watching the rain.

* Witnessed rain like I've never seen before-but hey, it was Hawaii so who cares right??

* Played Mexican train dominoes til the wee hours of the night-the same dominoes that almost cost me $90 because they put my suitcase over the weight limit!!! It was worth it though!

Here are some pics...

You can't really tell in this picture but the waves were pretty big. It was fun watching the professional surfers surf the famous North Shore waves.
Very pretty rainbow!

We had a very fun time and it was hard to leave my kids yet it was a much needed vacation. I was excited to get back home to them and not so excited to get back home to the snow!

It's been a while...

It's been a while since I've had time to post anything new because we have been doing so many fun things! Over Thanksgiving we had Jameson's sister and her family (Asenith, Curtis, Cambria, McKenna, and Dixon) stay with us. On Friday night we rode the Front Runner to SLC to see the lights at Temple Square. The kids, especially Jaxon, were very excited to be riding on a REAL train!! It was a lot of fun but it was COLD!! BUURRRHHH!!
