February, March, and a little April...

Wow! Time has really been flying by without me documenting anything! My birthday was at the end of January and Jameson did a great job of making it special as usual. He surprised me with a new kitchen table with chairs that match our bar stools! Here I am posing with my cake..Jaxon and Brooklyn completed 2 weeks worth of swimming lessons. Brooklyn pretty much ended up getting a private lesson since her class started with 3 girls counting her and ended with just her. They both really liked it and they both passed! Jaxon loved the goggles..For school Jaxon got to dress up as one of his favorite characters from a book. He loves all of the "Froggy" books, so this is what we came up with...I decided to surprise the kids with Disney on Ice tickets-the Disney Princess one that Brooklyn and I went to last year was so great that I wanted Jaxon to be able to see it. This one was Disney Pixar's Cars along with Tinkerbell and some others. Dad stayed home with Gabe and I took Jaxon and Brooklyn. We had fun and afterwards went for ice cream. Here we are getting ready to go...And here they are watching...The hats came "free" with the cotton candy...Since Santa gave us snowboarding lessons, we've been going up to Park City a lot and it has been fun! I fell really hard on my BEHIND/LEG after only going a few times and I think that it ruined me. I was getting good too!! I now am MUCH MORE CAUTIOUS and Jameson is better than me...dANG!! Just kidding..I'm sure he would be anyway but that fall definitely held me back. It has been a great activity for us to do together but mostly great for Jameson and Jaxon to do together. Every year around this time we start searching KSL classifieds for good deals on trailers. We have thought about upgrading from our little tent trailer since when we bought it we had 1 kid and now we have 3. We found a trailer on KSL that had been listed for a while and didn't seem to have any "bites" so we called and went and looked at it and LOVED it. We told them that we'd think about it and called them back that night and they said they'd already sold it!! I was devastated!! We had looked at other trailers but I just wanted this trailer to be "THE ONE" and was sad that we'd let it slip away. About 10 minutes after Jameson got off the phone with the owner they called us back to tell us that they were going to honor our offer before the other one since his wife had spoke to us first and told us she'd hold it for us until the end of the day. YAY!! We were sad to say goodbye to our little tent trailer and all of the fun memories but we're glad that we'll still see it because Jameson's brother Pace and his wife Jan bought it. We're excited for them to have a trailer and already have some camping trips in the works. Goodbye little trailer you've been so fun... Hello new trailer!!!
Yes, this is my FAVORITE feature!! Mid-March we hosted the main meal of a progressive dinner at our house with our friends. It was fun!! Jameson's Birthday was April 2nd and the kids were very excited to give him his presents. He went snowboarding that morning with Jaxon because that was what he said would be the most fun to do on his birthday. Can you tell these kids love their dad? The kids were very excited for Easter (as so was I-my favorite holiday!) . We made treats... And decorated eggs.
Happy Easter!
The kids had fun Easter morning playing with their Zhu-zhu pets and other little treats they got from the Easter Bunny. After conference we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Frew's house for dinner. The kids got to have 2 Easter egg hunts: one with Grandma and Grandpa and one with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. We all had a fun time!!

Brooklyn is 3!

Our little "Dee Dee" is 3! I can't believe how sweet this little girl is. She was so excited for her birthday to come and when it finally came she kept telling us that she "got bigger". We celebrated on her actual birthday (Sunday, 24th) with just our family. She woke up early and before church she opened her gifts from us. She is so fun to buy for now! Jaxon had bought her something one night when he was out with Jameson and he was so excited to give it to her. Here she is posing with her gifts. And here she is with the gift Jaxon picked out for her. It might be a little too old for her but Jaxon was sure excited to give it to her. After church (and naps) we had cake and ice cream and sang "Happy Birthday" to her. Monday night we had her extended family party. We had planned for this for the week and Brooklyn was pretty excited. Here is her invitation. (back)
I actually attempted a cake again (against my better judgement!), and I guess it turned out ok. She liked it and that's all that matters! She picked out the Barbie and everything.

The kids helped me throughout the week with making all of the decorations (or at least watched me make them) so they were pretty excited.
She had a fun few days and already acts so much older that I can't believe it! Brooklyn is very kind and shares SOOO good with her brothers (especially Gabe). She is very good at cleaning things and when it's time to clean up she is the BEST at picking up toys. She still loves her "yellow" which doesn't resemble anything near a blanket but I will be sad when she doesn't need it anymore. She fights sleep more than anyone I know (except her Dad!) and is almost always the last one to bed and the first one awake. She is so smart and is good at many things including puzzles which she could play for hours. I can almost always find her packing around a purse stuffed with little dolls, toys, blankets and trinkets. She loves Dora, Tinkerbell, Princesses, Grandmas, Grandpas, dollys, her yellow and anything with sugar in it! (wonder where she got that from?) It is so nice to have another girl in the house and she loves to remind the boys about things that "only the girls" are doing. She loves to get dressed up and be girly but can definitely hold her own with the boys as well.
She is so sweet and we love our Brooky so much!

December

I guess it's about time to post some pics of our December. (Warning...this is long!) We had a great, busy month. The kids had a lot of fun and Christmas with kids is always so fun!
We took a quick trip down to St. George to visit Grandma and Grandpa Whiting and also some friends. They were nice enough to let us stay with them. Christmas this year was so fun because Brooklyn really understood what was going on (of course Jaxon gets excited) and Gabe caught on pretty quick. Gabe is growing up and really trying to act like the "big kids". This picture cracks me up...
He was very proud of himself that he figured this out. Oh yeah, and he's naked because he hates to wear clothes and when I'm changing him he takes off running. I have to catch him to get his clothes back on!
We rode the Front Runner down to SLC to see the lights. The kids really love to ride the train. It was FREEZING this year and we ended up just riding it down, getting some cookies, and riding it back. They didn't care though! The Frew Family Christmas Party was definitely a hit with the kids. They acted out the Nativity scene....(Jaxon was a wise man and Brooklyn was the angel) Macy and Brooklyn have to stick together since they're the only girls!! The kids were all very surprised when none other but...SANTA arrived!!! They were GLUED to Santa! He told them some very good stories including one he had me read about why we celebrate Christmas. He also told them how he is always watching and reminded them to obey their parents. When we got home and Brooklyn was changing into her pajamas she said, "I don't want Santa to see my bum!" So funny! I guess she was really listening to Santa's "See you when you're sleeping" bit. Everyone (yes everyone) got a chance to sit on Santa's lap and got a gift from him. This is where all of the parent's were holding their breath that their kids didn't throw out some random thing they wanted for Christmas. Surprisingly, Jaxon couldn't think of anything he wanted to tell Santa...he sat there for a minute and then said, "Legos". Wheeww!! Brooklyn couldn't really think of what to say either and then I think she said, "A dolly". Gabe didn't want anything to do with Santa until he gave him a candy cane and then he took it and ran! The only thing Jameson asked for from Santa was a kiss from his wife....awwww..
On Christmas Eve we had some of Jameson's family members over for our annual fondue dinner. It was fun and yummy as usual. After they left we had our kids get in their pajamas that Grandma Whiting made them and we read a book to them about the birth of Christ. They then got to open 1 gift. They also got to open the pillow cases that Great Grandma Frew made them. Jaxon took these pictures of Jameson and I...
This girl is hard to get to bed...Christmas Morning! Here are the kids with their gifts from Santa.... And this is what I got from Santa....(don't mind the "just woke up" picture). We've lived in our house for over 3 years now and haven't had barstools. I told Jameson that I didn't want them until we got the ones I wanted. So..these ended up going back to "Santa's toy shop" and I got different ones. I liked these, I just like the ones I got better.

The day after Christmas we headed over to Great Grandma and Grandpa Frews.
Gabe wasn't really cooperating! And here they are with Grandma & Grandpa Frew.We had a great month!!
