December

I guess it's about time to post some pics of our December. (Warning...this is long!) We had a great, busy month. The kids had a lot of fun and Christmas with kids is always so fun!
We took a quick trip down to St. George to visit Grandma and Grandpa Whiting and also some friends. They were nice enough to let us stay with them. Christmas this year was so fun because Brooklyn really understood what was going on (of course Jaxon gets excited) and Gabe caught on pretty quick. Gabe is growing up and really trying to act like the "big kids". This picture cracks me up...
He was very proud of himself that he figured this out. Oh yeah, and he's naked because he hates to wear clothes and when I'm changing him he takes off running. I have to catch him to get his clothes back on!
We rode the Front Runner down to SLC to see the lights. The kids really love to ride the train. It was FREEZING this year and we ended up just riding it down, getting some cookies, and riding it back. They didn't care though! The Frew Family Christmas Party was definitely a hit with the kids. They acted out the Nativity scene....(Jaxon was a wise man and Brooklyn was the angel) Macy and Brooklyn have to stick together since they're the only girls!! The kids were all very surprised when none other but...SANTA arrived!!! They were GLUED to Santa! He told them some very good stories including one he had me read about why we celebrate Christmas. He also told them how he is always watching and reminded them to obey their parents. When we got home and Brooklyn was changing into her pajamas she said, "I don't want Santa to see my bum!" So funny! I guess she was really listening to Santa's "See you when you're sleeping" bit. Everyone (yes everyone) got a chance to sit on Santa's lap and got a gift from him. This is where all of the parent's were holding their breath that their kids didn't throw out some random thing they wanted for Christmas. Surprisingly, Jaxon couldn't think of anything he wanted to tell Santa...he sat there for a minute and then said, "Legos". Wheeww!! Brooklyn couldn't really think of what to say either and then I think she said, "A dolly". Gabe didn't want anything to do with Santa until he gave him a candy cane and then he took it and ran! The only thing Jameson asked for from Santa was a kiss from his wife....awwww..
On Christmas Eve we had some of Jameson's family members over for our annual fondue dinner. It was fun and yummy as usual. After they left we had our kids get in their pajamas that Grandma Whiting made them and we read a book to them about the birth of Christ. They then got to open 1 gift. They also got to open the pillow cases that Great Grandma Frew made them. Jaxon took these pictures of Jameson and I...
This girl is hard to get to bed...Christmas Morning! Here are the kids with their gifts from Santa.... And this is what I got from Santa....(don't mind the "just woke up" picture). We've lived in our house for over 3 years now and haven't had barstools. I told Jameson that I didn't want them until we got the ones I wanted. So..these ended up going back to "Santa's toy shop" and I got different ones. I liked these, I just like the ones I got better.

The day after Christmas we headed over to Great Grandma and Grandpa Frews.
Gabe wasn't really cooperating! And here they are with Grandma & Grandpa Frew.We had a great month!!

November

A couple of weeks ago Jameson had the chance to go to a Monday Night Football game in Denver. He is a HUGE Steelers fan and so is his brother. Our brother in law Tuck went and my brother, Jacen (who is a huge Broncos fan). They had fun and had 50 yard line 5th row seats.
My sister Gina got us some discounted tickets for Disney on Ice and so my mom, my sisters, my niece, and Brooklyn and I went. It was so fun! Macy let Brooklyn borrow her Cinderella costume since her Tinkerbell one would've been too cold and she didn't have any other ones (Christmas!).
Brooklyn didn't take her eyes off the show the whole time. She sat just like this on Grandma's lap. I've never seen that girl sit so still! She told me afterwards that she liked Tinkerbell the best even though she only came out a few times. Brooklyn and Macy
A few weeks later, Jameson and I went on a vacation to Florida! It was really fun and a nice, much needed vacation. Thanks Mom and Dad for watching our kids!
The view from our hotel.
We wanted to go back to Flordia since we went there on our honeymoon and it worked out that Jameson had to go there for work so he extended for a few days and I flew to meet him. We ate some VERY good food, laid out on the beach, shopped, and went to a few tourist attractions. The first was called "Billie's Swamp Safari" where we took an airboat ride through the Everglades. We saw some HUGE alligators-although the pictures we got are of some smaller ones. It was fun though!

I made Jameson pose by this sign. This tour was on the Indian reservation there.
Kind of hard to see in this pic but there's a gator on that log! We saw other ones but didn't get that great of pictures of them. On the way out of the Everglades, we almost ran over this "little" guy!
We also went to Butterfly World. It was so pretty and the whole time at the gator place and Butterfly World I was thinking about how much my kids would love it! Maybe next time! :)

These butterflys were just flying around you-so many different kinds.
I loved these butterflys with the blue wings. This one was hurt.
We went on a boat ride through the canals of Ft. Lauderdale. There are multi-million dollar homes there and HUGE yachts that line the canals. We ate at an EXCELLENT restaurant there.

October Things...

I guess I'm only blogging about once a month now. It has been so hard to get to all the pictures that I have edited and I hate the way that blogger has you add the pics. It is so slow and time consuming that I haven't had a chance to do it. Does anyone have any tips? It's always been like this I just get annoyed at it sometimes and so I stop blogging! Anyway...October things...
Jaxon had a few walking field trips that I went on with him. First, we went to 7-11 and the next one was to McDonalds. It was quite enlightening at both places to go "behind the scenes" to see how they make your food/drink. The kids had fun. We've had fun with the kids doing Family Nights in October. They are all getting so big and really enjoy our exclusive family time. They think they need to all pile on the Dora couch for the lesson. One day while the kids were upstairs playing (too quietly) they decided that it would be funny to dress Gabe up in Brooklyn's clothes. I'm sure it was Jaxon's idea. He was pretty game until I started taking pictures. He must have known that he would hate the pictures in the future! It definitely gave me some perspective on how big Gabe is compared to Brooklyn. Funny.
Jameson finally had Jaxon's 4-wheeler fixed and Jaxon couldn't be more excited! Here he is with his friend and our neighbor Annelise.
For Halloween our neighbors put on an AMAZING party for the kids. It was really so cute and the kids had so much fun! Thanks to those moms that did it!
The kids were really into this book!
After this first Halloween party we had 2 more: the Whiting family party, and the Frew family party.
Whitings:
Frews:
The kids (and adults) had so much fun at both parties! Thanks for all of the fun and goodies!

On Halloween we carved pumpkins...
Brooklyn thought it was really gross to put her hand in the pumpkin and Gabe had fun playing "puzzle" with the eyes, nose, and mouth after they were cut out. Jaxon insisted on doing it himself and he did a good job. At 5:00 we went to our ward's Trunk or Treat. It was so nice that it was warm and the kids got WAY too much candy! When we got home, they wanted to go trick or treating to some of our neighbors' houses and Jaxon thought it would be fun to ride his 4-wheeler since walking would have been SOOO hard! It was pretty funny though and I love these pictures we took of them.

The cutest Tinkerbell I've ever seen!

We had a great month!
